Wow. The “new” Fionn Regan is almost nothing like the last. It takes an entire song for him to stop sounding like Sondre Lerche plus Ezra Koenig and start resembling his Irish self. It’s a shy resemblance — but a bolder sound. Oooo, he gets back to basics halfway through with “Violent Demeanour.” But wait! Is that pop organ I hear? Can you tell this is my first listen?
